The focus of AdultDigitalUp was on the thorough preparation of adult educators to be in a position to infuse digital elements in their subject areas and to build the skills and competencies of adult learners, with special attention given to low-skilled adults. A thorough need analysis was conducted for the project, with two goals. First, acquiring a deeper understanding of the needs and barriers faced by adult learners when it comes to the acquisition of digital skills will be the first gain. Second, to explore adult learners’ different learning and teaching methods, enabling the design of tailored learning pathways and training to meet the various needs of adult educators and master trainers.
To further enhance our prior knowledge in upgrading adult learners’ digital skills, we chose to incorporate practices and methods that have already been developed and used in real-time educational environments. Therefore, in two work packages (1 & 3), we have conducted study visits to acquire good practices and to be exemplified by reputable colleagues in other European countries.
